Coronavirus: Norfolk Finals Day update

BE suspends all basketball activity for two weeks, Finals Day provisionally moved to May 10th

Basketball England released update advice late yesterday suspending all affiliated basketball activity from 9am this morning (Sat 14th March) for an initial two weeks in response to the coronavirus pandemic. This affects every level of the sport across the UK from grass roots practices and individual coaches & officials, to county, regional and national activity.

In lieu of this news the Norfolk Basketball Association has arranged to move Norfolk Finals from March 29th to a provisional date of May 10th.

We understand the decision may result in inconvenience and disappointment to players, coaches, officials, volunteers and supporters at a key period of the season, but it is our duty to protect everyone associated to our sport. If your club is unavailable for this date please make us aware at the earliest opportunity.

This is an unprecedented and rapidly developing situation, and the NBBA and NYBL will continue to be guided by the latest information and advice from the governing body. Please monitor the NYBL and NBBA websites and social media pages for updates, and refer to the Basketball England website for the latest guidance.
